Guided Walks in Roman Verulamium

The Roman Theatre

This is one of the finest examples of a Roman Theatre in Britain.  Also within the site are the remains of a 3rd century townhouse, with an underground shrine as well as a parade of shops facing onto Watling Street.  Guides are present on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays from April 4th to October 25th between 2:30pm and 4:30pm.  Also between 11am and 1pm on Sundays from 28th June and 30th August, and for the August Bank Holiday Monday.
