Q. How long are the walks?
A. The walks last for about 90 minutes.

Q. Where do the walks start?
All St Albans City walks – meet outside the St Albans Museum + Gallery in St Peter's Street, AL1 3DH except for Art & Architecture and Explore St Peter's, which start at the War Memorial by St Peter's Church AL1 3HG
Discover Harpenden and Haunted Harpenden– meet at the War Memorial on Harpenden Green, AL5 4ES
Discover Redbourn – meet in the car park on the Common by the cricket pavilion, AL3 7DB
Roman City Revealed and St Michaels & Fishpool Street- meet outside the Roman Museum in Verulamium Park AL3 4SW
Discover Wheathampstead - meet in the East Lane public car park at the rear of the Bull AL4 8SB

Q. Do I need to book in advance?
A. Yes, by clicking on the link to the TicketSource site here , and selecting the walk you wish to buy places for. Each walk is £6 per person.

Q. Do you issue children's tickets?
No, there is no reduction for children, although small children of 5 and under can accompany parents or family members free.

Q. What happens if I have bought a ticket and I am unable to go on the walk? 
A. We do not give refunds if the walk is scheduled to start within 48 hours of the request. If your walk is due to start in more than 48 hours, contact us via the TicketSource site and a refund will be issued. You can expect to receive slightly less than you originally paid because a small proportion is retained by TicketSource.

Q. I cannot go on the walk I have bought a ticket for. Can I exchange for another date?
A. Yes, that is possible, as long as the request is submitted before the start time of the walk on the original date. Please contact us by clicking here with the date and title of the new walk.

Q. Do walks take place in all weathers?
A.  Yes, unless it would be unsafe to lead a walk, such as when the pavements are icy. In these circumstances, all customers will be contacted before the walk takes place, using the customer details you have entered with TicketSource. This website and social media will also be updated.

Q. I have a disability and need to be accompanied on the walk by a carer. Does the carer have to pay as well?
A. No, the carer can come free of charge.

Q. Can I bring my dog on a walk?
A. Yes, as long as it is well-behaved.
